Legacy exists to help men and women continue building a relationship with Jesus that endures—and to create space where faith is deepened, community is formed, and God’s presence is experienced.

Hey! I’m Bill Gilchrist, and I serve as the Legacy Pastor at Peoples Church. Legacy exists to help men and women in this season of life stay rooted in faith, connected in community, and engaged in God’s ongoing work. We believe this is not a season to slow down, but a season to live with purpose, invest in others, and continue growing in Christ—together.

What is Legacy?

Legacy is a ministry for adults ages 55 and older who want to stay rooted in faith, connected in community, and engaged in what God is doing in this season of life. It’s a space to grow spiritually, build meaningful relationships, and continue living with purpose.

Do I need to be a member of Peoples Church to attend?

No. Legacy is open to anyone who wants to be part of the community, whether Peoples Church is your home church or you’re just exploring.

What if I’m new or don’t know anyone?

You’re not alone — many people come to Legacy not knowing anyone. Our goal is to create a welcoming, relational environment where it’s easy to connect.

Is Legacy only for retirees?

Not at all. Some in Legacy are retired, others are still working full-time or part-time. What connects us isn’t life stage logistics, but a shared season and a desire to keep following Jesus faithfully.
