Missions

When you look at the front of the Peoples Church bulletin you see our mission statement which states that our goal is, "to lovingly help people know Jesus Christ and allow His Power to transform their lives."

Our vision statement goes on to explain how we plan to realize this goal. This means that the major emphasis of the church is to share the love of Jesus with the whole world. This is accomplished in part with our missions conference. It gives the congregation an opportunity to be enlightened, challenged, and inspired with the opportunities they have to change their world in so many ways.

The three ways we approach this task are...

All the church mobilized...

The Missions Faith Promise plan allows for all age groups to be involved, supplying our missionaries with literature, vehicles, equipment and household good through Light for the Lost, Women's ministry, Speed-the-Light, and BGMC (Boys & Girls Missionary Crusade).

All the gospel...

The promise to the New Testament church is still valid today. The Pentecostal message proclaims salvation by grace alone through faith, the baptism in the Holy Spirit, divine healing and the soon and imminent return of Jesus Christ.

All the world...

To be a Full Gospel/Pentecostal is to believe both Jesus' command to reach the whole world and to receive the Holy Spirit's power to accomplish the task (Acts 1:8). The early church leaders were compelled by the Holy Spirit to obey the Lord's command to "Go into all the world, and preach the gospel," (Mark16:15).
