Waiting on God In Difficult Times - A Study of Job

The Old Testament Book of Job is a story relevant to everyone. Many people have heard about Job and his trials, but not many understand what those trials were all about and what God was trying to accomplish through them. There is more to the story than the question of why bad things happen to good people. As we study the Book of Job we will learn what it means to cope with suffering, develop patience and honor God.

The n9nes, the young adult ministry of Peoples Church (age 18 to 20 something) is having open times of discussion about what "normal" Christianity is. Many people on their journey to knowing God have come to a point where they get comfortable with what they know and what they see. It is our desire to talk about, learn and live in Jesus' viewpoint of what "normal" is. We are seeking to redefine "normal" as we come into agreement with what God’s Word says about our lives. During this search maybe we will all discover a new "normal!"

A four-week Sunday class for all those interested in becoming members of Peoples Church will take place January 20, January 27, February 3 and February 10 at 10:00 am (during the Sunday School hour) held in Pastor Erickson’s office. Pastor Scott and Bonnie Erickson will share in the instruction time, which will acquaint you with the various aspects of Peoples Church, our beliefs, our programs and the many ministry opportunities available to you. It will give you a solid foundation for involvement at Peoples Church as well as a time to get acquainted with others who are joining the church.
