What is RSS?

RSS is becoming a very common technology used for spreading information. RSS is simply a way of sharing information. It is based upon XML. When you visit a site, keep your eyes open for the orange icon. This icon indicates that there is a RSS feed available for that site! The icon might also read "XML", "RSS", "POD", or "MP3" depending on the type of information contained in that feed.

RSS feeds make it really easy for you to keep track of blogs, new sites, or really any information. All you need is program that can read RSS which enables you to gather information from feeds that you have subscribed to.
